JT Basque Bar and Restaurant
Hosts Marie and JB Lekumberry welcome you to their long-time family bar and restaurant. JT Basque Bar and Restaurant proudly serves Ranch One all-natural beef.
Nestled in the heart of renovated old town Gardnerville, Nevada, JT's (as it's known to locals) is a Basque family-style restaurant featuring Ranch One beef, Nevada lamb and all-natural chicken. Family-style dining conjures up Old West traditions, where dining halls were lined with long rough-hewn wood tables and benches. Everyone ate together by serving themselves from large bowls and platters set at regular intervals along the center of the tables.
JT's has a slightly more modern concept of the old family-style: Once your party is seated, your are served a four-course, family-style dinner from multi-serving bowls and platters on your table. Starting with the first course of soup, French bread and salad, a second course of at least three side dishes — such as beef stew, pinto beans and French fries — the main entrée course and a dessert course. Each person is given their choice of entrée (beef, lamb or chicken, and sometimes fish), which arrives cooked to order on individual plates. A decanter of house wine completes the meal. You may also want to order drinks from the bar — we suggest a local Basque favorite… a Picon Punch cocktail.
If you are really hungry, you can ask for seconds, but most patrons find the first serving is plenty of great food for a great price.
